the dog poo bag conundrum

Picking up dog poo is still in the dark ages - why?

It’s normal because there has not been a good enough alternative presented to dog owners. Pooper scoopers have only ever been a glorified type of grabber or scoop that quite often, makes a simple job a tad more cumbersome. As a result, the process of clearing dog waste is still very primitive.

As inventors of a product that is the first of its kind - clearing, sanitising, storing and sealing away dog waste - all in one, we assumed this would be an easy product to market. However, like the washing machine when it was first introduced, people liked the idea but didn’t see it as a necessity while their washboards were so accessible. Even video footage showing how the dooup saves time, bags and keeps the lawn safe and clean for all to enjoy, isn’t always enough to convert people. Take a look at the dooup in action here

Meanwhile we have gadgets for just about everything we need, and even for things we don’t need. Everyone complains about it but some simply won’t upgrade their methods or share that it exists. If the product were created by a huge corporate company with deep pockets and thus endless amounts of marketing budget, there would most likely be a dooup in every dog owners garden, and then in a good few gardens of those without dogs - for clearing after wild animals or simply, any type of garden nasty. The dooup would be synonymous with all garden waste clearance. The thing you do before you cut the grass, plant new flowers, clean the patio, and so on.

The dooup pooper scooper is the absolute solution for clearing dog poo in the garden. It prevents the spread of the 23 million bacteria contained in dog waste and it saves you time, bags and your back. It’s logical innovation but still the plastic bag, or of course the biodegradable bag, is the most common method used, even in the garden where we lounge, dine, grow food, and where children play.

We’ve recently introduced a new concept for dog walkers, hoping that this would help spread the dooup evolution that is about making dog waste clearance easier and more hygienic for all, and therefore encouraging more people to do it, both at home and while on walks. The dog walker will have a completely different need to the dog poo collector, collecting dog poo from their own garden. The dog walker will want a convenient option that offers more than just a pooper scooper for their walk. In other words, other reasons to even bother carrying anything extra. We think we have the answer with our dooup walk-ease. Take a look here.
